Not all the spas are luxuries; the main advantage is been able to enjoy the therapeutic benefits in natural surroundings. The thermal waters are beneficial for numerous health problems (this differs between spas) some of the waters may also be drunk. The thermal water spas and springs we feature have been tested by the Turkish Ministry of Health.

The Healing thermal waters of Pamukkale

One of the famous natural wonders of Turkey. Pamukkale means cotton castle, it stands 100 metres high and is made of limestone covered with eight different shades of snow. The flowing thermal waters have hollowed enormous circular basins in the earth by flowing down the mountainside coating the slopes with a smooth layer of dazzling white calcareous rock. The geological occurrence which formed pamukkale thermal source covers a vast area from Afyon to Saraykoy. The waters temperatures range from 36 C to 100 C there are 17 different thermal sources with different temperatures in this region. (Pamukkale is 36 c Karahayit just 5 km away is 56 c)

The thermal waters of Pamukkale offer relief to rheumatic, arthritic suffers and assist suffers of rickets, neuralgia, specialist also recommend the thermal waters of Pamukkale for post operative, pro fractures & physical exhaustion.

The Little Fish of Kangel : Licensed to Heal!
These fish live in a hot spring, itself in a green valley surrounded by barron looking countryside 13km from Kangel, which is an ilice or country seat 85 km from sivas, the little valley only a few km long and with hills1700 meters high, is the worlds most unusual centres from the treatment of diease.

In organised use since 1917, the spring is sought out of the fish that live in its 36 degree water. Known popularly as the doctor fish, they cure a number of serious illnesses. The spa benefits skin disorders, ulcers, rheumatism and particular erysipelas suffers. The cure is straight forward.

The patients spends 6-7 hours a day in the water, after a 5 day morning and afternoon immersion, the water and the fish that strike at the dieased skin have soften or removed the scaly patches of hard skin. Now the jabbers take over puncturing skin at the rash to draw blood which the fish clean up immediately. The thrid team of fish follow applaing a dressing by licking wounds. A secretion on their tounges has a healing effect and stops the bleeding.

Damlatas Asthma Treatment
Damlatas cave was founded in 1948, it has become famous throughout Turkey & Eurpoe owing to the relief and cure of asthma for its 1000's of annual visitors. This is sue to the dampness, unchanging temparature of 22-23c, 75mm high pressures and 20.5% oxygen levels.

Turkish specialitis believe Damlatas cave can help relieve and even cure mild forms of the illness. It is recommended you visit the cave for 4 hours per day between March, April, May, October & November months owing to the hot summer climate.
